Vaazhl is the new movie from Aruvi fame Arun Prabu Purushothaman. Vaazhl is a movie which is as simple as the title. The movie explores the idea of living.
There is not much when it comes to the plot of the movie. Prakash is the lead role in the movie. He works in an IT company and has a girlfriend, but it is clear he is not happy with his life. The general assumption everyone makes is that when someone has a well paying job and someone to love them, they should be happy but he is not. The movie kind of has an answer for that.
Due to some unexpected events Prakash starts to travel and the travelling mentally gets him to the places where he wanted to be. Vaazhl shows how beautiful the world can be if we let it.
This movie is just about the travel chapter of Prakash’s life and the people he meets in that time.

We don’t want to reveal anything about the movie. Vaazhl deserved a theatre release - at least the cinematographer deserved a theatre release. The cinematographer Shelly Calist must have worked really hard. He made this movie incredibly beautiful. It was a treat for the eyes to watch the movie. It was just unbelievably incredibly so well done and the locations chosen for the shooting was also really good.
Pradeep Kumar did really well as a music director. Every song felt different from what we normally see in movies. Songs were really well placed. Pradeep Antony as Prakash, TJ Bhanu as Yatra amma, Diva Dhawan everyone performed well and natural but TJ Bhanu stands out as the best performer from the movie.
Even though the movie was a visual treat, something felt off. It didn’t have the same impact that Aruvi did. Especially in the second half of the movie it made us fall in love with nature but not with the movie. The movie felt a bit vague but it is intentional.
The movie definitely has its ups and downs but it is a must watch. You can't miss this movie. Would definitely recommend this movie just because of the visuals. Overall Vaazhl falls a little short to be a great movie but it delivered a great message
